Official Training Program: Orlando Women’s Triathlon

DETAILS
This program starts on September 12, 2011 and runs for 6 weeks. It will prepare athletes to complete the Orlando Women’s Triathlon.  Each week will consist of a 2.5 hour session at 6:30 pm on Monday evening and a 2.5 hour session at 6:30 pm on Thursday evening. On the weekends you are encouraged to race or train with the coaches as they do their own sessions (there is no charge for this).

ELIGIBILITY
This training program is designed for entry level athletes (having competed in less than 10 events ever) of any age. We encourage groups of friends to participate together but guarantee you’ll make new ones.

ENTRY FEES
$160 for the 6 week program
All clinics are limited to the first 10 – this program has a very high rate of success, please register early!

LOCATION, DIRECTIONS & PARKING
Although the sessions will take place at various locations, the first session will take place at Grace Hopper Hall, 1913 Meeting Place, Orlando, FL 32814 Take Colonial Drive (SR 50) East to Bennett. Go North on Bennett to Corrine. Hang a right on Corrine to Meeting Place.

SESSION SPECIFICS
Mental skills, nutrition & supplementation, equipment check, transition drills, Swim technique, open water swim, swim drills, bike fit, time trial, cycling technique, cycling drills, running technique, 1 mile time trial and running drills.

THINGS TO BRING
Bike, heart rate monitor (if you have one), helmet, cycling shoes, swim suit, goggles, running shoes, towel, water, notebook and pen.
